I do a lot of work for a Utah SEO company known as Webtek Digital Marketing. Webtek has clients in both Utah and across the country. So when I was thinking about how far another client’s SEO reach should extend, I thought of Webtek and how it approaches SEO for each of its clients.
Understanding SEO reach is important for the simple fact that companies can spend a lot of money reaching irrelevant users while ignoring their most valuable customers. Webtek is tasked with making sure the client is well known among investors and business owners who might have need of their private lending services.
Webtek is the ideal service provider because its team members live and work in Utah. They know the Utah market inside and out. They can focus on keywords, topics, and experiences that would resonate with Utah investors.
Utah SEO at the National Level
For this last point, deploying Utah SEO at the national level, we go back to that first client involved in the skiing industry. The client does attract customers from other states who visit Utah during the winter months. Webtek’s knowledge of the state’s ski resorts is invaluable to SEO. Likewise for their knowledge of accommodations, transportation options, equipment rental, and so forth.
Because the Webtek team lives and works in the very midst of Utah’s ski industry, they have knowledge that an SEO provider located in Philadelphia would not. They can discuss things a New York SEO provider would have no knowledge of.
Who Are You Trying to Reach?
When all is said and done, an organization’s SEO reach should extend no further than the customers it is targeting. There is no need for a locally focused business to reach customers thousands of miles away. By the same token, a company whose business model is built around a national reach can’t afford to focus exclusively on local.
The good thing about SEO services is that they can be tailored to geographic preferences. If a client wants to focus on local. No worries. Likewise for clients with a larger state-wide focus or the desire to reach a national audience. SEO can reach as far as an organization wants it to. It is simply a matter of using it the right way.
